The questions people ask before building a template gallery, answered from 45 real ones.
About two in three split the templates into categories. Close to half add a search box, and about four in ten offer filters, most often by template type.
Almost all of them, more than nine in ten, show a thumbnail of the template. About two in three add a line describing it.
None of the galleries here do. Visitors can browse every template before they create an account. About one in five put a product call to action inside the grid instead.
About seven in ten show what the template looks like, and about three in ten let the visitor explore a live preview rather than a still image.
About seven in ten link back to the full gallery, and half link sideways to other templates. Just over half carry a breadcrumb.
This gallery is a visual browse: what template pages look like and what they contain. The best landing pages benchmark is the graded view, where pages are scored against conversion best practices and ranked by industry. Same companies, different question.
