About Web Anatomy
Competitor website analysis, with the numbers behind it. This page says what Web Anatomy is, who it is for, what it compares and what it costs.
In short
- Enter your direct and indirect competitors and see how your page compares with theirs: positioning, design, page structure, best practices.
- For any business whose website has to win customers: local businesses, SaaS and tech companies, consumer brands, marketplaces.
- 750+ companies tracked, 10,100+ pages and sections captured and scored. New pages every week.
- Every page is scored on the same rubric, so a comparison is a number, not an opinion.
- The competitive audit is self-serve, ready in about ten minutes, from €39 a month.
- Available in English and French.
- Founded in 2026 in Paris.
What is Web Anatomy?
Web Anatomy is a competitor analysis tool for websites. You enter your competitors, direct and indirect, and Web Anatomy shows how your page competes with theirs: the positioning each one uses, the design choices, the page structure, and the best practices they apply that your page does not.
Under the comparison sits a trend tracker. Websites are captured and scored on one fixed rubric, and the library grows every week, so you can see what is changing across your category and not only what it looked like on the day you checked.
It works for any business whose website has to win customers: a local business against the competitors in its area, a SaaS company, a consumer brand, a marketplace. The audit searches your own market, in your language, so you are compared with the companies your customers actually weigh you against.
Who is Web Anatomy for?
- Founders and business owners deciding what their homepage or pricing page should say before a redesign.
- Marketing leads who own the positioning and need to know what their category says this quarter.
- Growth teams sending paid traffic to pages they have never compared with the competition.
- Local businesses that want to know how their website stands against the competitors in their area: clinics, law firms, agencies, schools, home services.
- Agencies and freelancers who need evidence behind a redesign recommendation.
The library spans dozens of industries: software, AI, fintech, e-commerce, healthcare, insurance, education, agencies and more. The competitive audit takes any URL and searches your own market, so every business is compared with its real competitors.
What problem does Web Anatomy solve?
Competitor research today is a board of screenshots that is out of date the week after it is made. Nobody knows what the competing homepages in a category say right now, which page structure has become the norm, or which best practice a competitor picked up last month.
Web Anatomy keeps that research live and scored. "How does my page compare" gets an answer with numbers behind it, and the answer stays current as the category moves.
Scale matters here. If you compare two competitors once a year, a screenshot board is enough. If you ship pages every month against ten competitors that also ship every month, you need a tracker, not a mood board.
What does Web Anatomy compare?
Positioning
The headline, the promise and the proof each competitor leads with, side by side with yours.
Design
The visual choices, section by section, with the screenshot beside each finding so you can check it yourself.
Page structure
The order of sections on every competitor page against the order on yours, and what the category has settled on.
Best practices
The criteria a competitor passes and your page fails, ranked by weight, so the first fix is the one that matters most.
Page types
Homepage, pricing, features, about, contact and the other page types in the library. A pricing page is not compared like a homepage.
How much does Web Anatomy cost?
Web Anatomy sells one thing: the competitive audit. Your page against the competitors you name and the ones we find, captured, cut into sections and scored on the same rubric, with a ranked plan of what to change first. It is self-serve and ready in about ten minutes.
It is a monthly plan: Starter at €39 a month for 1 audit, or Growth at €99 a month for 3 audits. Unused audits roll over and a failed audit is refunded. See the competitive audit.
The design library is free to browse: the captured pages and sections, by section type, page type and industry.
How does the tracking work?
Pages are captured, cut into sections and scored on a fixed rubric, the same for every company and the same in an audit as in the library. New pages enter the library every week after two human review gates. Nobody can pay to appear or to improve a score.
How pages and sections are scored, and who writes the criteria, is on the methodology page.
Which industries and pages are tracked?
The library covers SaaS, AI, fintech, e-commerce, healthcare, insurtech, edtech, HR tech, cybersecurity, developer tools, marketing, agencies, telecom and the creator economy, among others. Each industry has its own page in the industries hub.
Page types tracked: homepage, pricing, features, about, contact, integrations, comparison, enterprise and security, each with its own examples page.
Who builds Web Anatomy?
Web Anatomy is built in Paris by Gabriel Amzallag, who defined the scoring framework and reviews the library before pages are published.
